Nothing could quite prepare us for the weather that would batter the cyclists who’d signed up for our inaugural year. Rain, sleet, wind, and low visibility made navigation and hill-tackling an experience none of us would soon forget, and the beer when we crossed the finish line at Download Festival was that much sweeter.
