Heavy Metal Truants committee members and riders alike joined the Nordoff Robbins team in their London Headquarters to see first-hand the incredible work your donations are helping to fund.
It was our great pleasure to discover more about the types of beneficiaries the teams nationwide work with. Ranging from toddlers to pensioners, including those with dementia, stroke survivors, cancer patients, those with physical disabilities, autism, children who have suffered from bullying, those suffering from anxiety and so many in between.
We were lucky enough to witness one of Nordoff Robbins’ master therapists (who go through a 2 year masters course with the charity over and above their training as a musician) who walked us through a session using instruments to help physically disabled, very young children, to communicate and engage with each other and with their parents.
We’re incredibly proud to help support the Nordoff Robbins team and the work they do.
If you or anyone you know has been affected by the issues described above then music therapy could make all the difference and consultation is free. Get more information on www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk
